This piece of the Urban Series demonstrates the fusion of human architecture & Wildlife. It is one of my artistic ways to showcase the problem of loss of habitats for the many species in the world, caused by deforestation & human expansion.
This artwork is inspired by one of my favorite artists and architects, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who built the fabulous Kunsthaus of Vienna. In the Fine Arts Academy of Venice, I have dedicated my master thesis to him, as he was one of the first progressive precursors of the Green Living Movement. In projecting this work I was wondering how this house could look like, if it is inhabited by animals of the forest, in a fusion of human creative architecture and wild habitat: An Architectonic Forest!
Oil on Canvas, 80 x 120 cm, 2013.
